X-Force: Recommendation

Anyone else miss the no holds barred, will rip out your spleed because I’m hungry Wolverine of the 80’s? Yeah, us too. Luckily, he’s back.

Marvel has been running a new X-Force series with Wolverine being his absolute most vicious, leading a covert team in a story that follows up the Messiah Complex cross over and dealing with the fall out of M-Day. Also featured are Warpath, Wolsfbane and X-23.

The writing has been very strong, though it’s not the best written Wolverine you’ll ever find. What really elevates this project is the artwork… which is beautiful in its visceral detail. Each issue has a “blood cover” in addition to the normal one, and they are worth looking for, as the artwork on them is top notch… and includes some of the most impressive cover art images of the year so far.

Craig Kyle is penning the book with Christopher Yost while Clayton Crain is responsible of the delectable imagry.

There’s a blurb about this run at the bottom of the wikipedia page for X-Force, but we’d recommend just picking it up and avoiding all spoilers at any cost.
