Geekage… X-Men Origins: Wolverine

So over the weekend a trailer for the upcoming movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine was leaked from Comic-Con and spread across the net like wildfire. It was a shakey cell phone video from a long ways back, but it was a full trailer and it was spectacular. Unfortunately, it’s also gone now.
Yep, it was pulled off of youtube and googlevids by the end of the day, though that’s not surprising. We will warn you guys that when the trailer officially hits the net, it does contain some spoilers with regards to which characters are in the movie and some of the plot. So if you’re trying to walk into the theater opening night with no exposure to the film before hand, you might want to steer clear.
But we think it’s worth a look… or a dozen. It’s a shame that the Comic-Con footage won’t stay available (legally) as the crowd reaction actually adds to the experience. They react like you want to and that will be lost when the trailer is officially released. Either way, we’re going to wear out apple trailers when this goes up, just like we did with TDK.
The only bit of trepidation we have is that X3 looked great in its official trailer (OK, it looked great in one of the three) and ended up being terrible. Same with Spiderman 3. But with TDK living up to the hype recently, and the promise of good old fashioned “will rip out your spleen because I’m hungry” Wolverine on the big screen… we dare to dream.
The movie also has cameos by Gambit and Deadpool. And with Ryan Reynolds playing good ole Wade Wilson, how bad can it be?
