Over the last couple of years the state of Connecticut has been trying to build itself up to be a friendly place for film makers. It started with some very enticing tax incentive programs and expanded to some private training programs, finally coming around to state sponsored training. Recently, one such program came to it’s completion, producing a short film called Gamers.

Friend of BME, Marty Lang was on the front lines at Quinnipiac University, bringing together a great group of professionals to help the students in the program turn Lang’s script into a movie. Richard Dobbs (of Law and Order fame) directed the project, Liam O’Brien and Marty Lang were the producers and pretty much the rest of the project is handled by the students.

They’ve uploaded the movie to youtube, and you can see it by clicking on the title above. Definitely worth checking out as it’s a great example of how you can still have wonderful quality with limited funding.
